About Our Little Red School House...
At Faithful Farms School House, we see the need for an environment that meets children where they are at, not where they are supposed to be according to their age/grade level. We see the need to let children move and use their hands. We want to teach children to use the skills that they learn instead of just being able to pass a test. We want children to be able to succeed at life, and not just at testing. We offer an environment that allows children to move at their own pace, not the public school pacing guide-requiring that no minute be wasted. We want to be able to begin our day with prayer, and end it that way as well. We plan to change the way learning takes place so that our children can succeed! Together we can teach children to be bold in Christ and in Life!
My Testimony
As I grew in my relationship with God, I prayed that he would take me and use me. Little did I know, He would answer me in such a big way or that His plans would be to have me leave my dream job! In the spring of 2025, I felt convicted to not sign a contract-meaning to stop teaching. This blew my mind, and forced me to depend on Him for my future instead of the world. I'm a planner, and this was NOT a good plan in my head. But, the conviction grew stronger and even within my husband. So, I didn't sign; leaving me jobless for the next school year and more scared than I've ever been about my future. But, that's the thing about faith. If you step out on faith, Jesus will guide you, and guide He did. Less than an hour after going to my admin, and announcing that I wouldn't be coming back, Jesus showed up.
During a brief run in with someone I barely knew, they stated that I should just leave public school and teach a small group of children myself..."I'd pay you to teach my grandson!" , she boldly stated. She didn't know what I had just done, or that I'd just barely managed to pull myself together after crying in my truck and asking God to lead me where he wanted me. A peace settled over me, I got in my truck, and went home. I knew exactly what I was supposed to do. I was supposed to teach children about Jesus, about the world He created for us, how to take care of it, and how to use it to be self sufficient.
It only felt fitting to name our little school Faithful Farms School House, because when you walk in faith, Jesus shows up to guide us. I pray that our little school will be a blessing to our community in bringing children up in the way that they should go-not departing from it when they are older, and telling everyone about Jesus.
